Transparent displays from TDK are sent into mass production

TDK Company started mass release of the clear OLED displays with passive matrix. This is 2,4 inches QVGA (240x320) displays called UEL476 aimed mostly at mobile phones with Transparent display. It will probably not be used in standard phones (although to some extent it is convenient as you can text message and not  be afraid to fall), but designers will most probably take advantage of that. This kind of phones already exist : Lenovo S800, Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness.

The Transparent display allows you to see what you behind it but from the back of the display it is impossible to see the phone numbers and messages that are on the screen.
