Nokia smartphones will support Microsoft Silverlight

Nokia Company is going to add to its smartphones the function of Silverlight technology support from Microsoft Corporation. At the beginning Sliverlight will work on the smartphones based on Symbian S60 platform and later - on Symbian S40, as Reuters declares.

Recently Nokia Corporation presnetd multimedia smartphone 5230 positioned as cheap model for users who need a device with sensor display.

Nokia smartphone created in the form factor of a monoblock has 3,2 inches sensor display with resolution 640x360 pixels and is deprived of usual keypad. Nokia 5230 smartphone functions under S60 5th Edition (Symbian OS 9.4) operational system.

The device is equipped with 70 MB built in memory, microSD slot, camera of 2 mega pixels, 3,5 mm earplugs slot, GPS receiver and FM tuner. Nokia smartphone functions in GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MH and WCDMA/HSDPA 2100/900, 1900/850 or 2100/850. It also has Bluetooth 2.0 and interface USB 2.0.

Due to 1 320 mAc battery the novelty can function up to 7 hours in talk time regime and up to 19 days in stand by regime. The gadget dimensions are 111x51,7x14,5 mm and the weight is about 113 grams. Nokia smartphone will be available in red, pink, yellow, blue, silver and black variants of the back panel while the front panel can only be black or white.

It is clear that Nokia smartphones are becoming more and more popular regardless of the other companies which produce new models with surprising speed.
