Smartphone Motorola Droid was approved by FCC

While our users try ton guess whether or not smartphone Motorola Droid will appear on sale and when it is going to happen, the device has already gone through all the testes and exams by FCC and is ready for sales in the USA.

Before it was already mentioned that smartphone Motorola Droid on the basis of operational system Android is being prepared for exclusive sales by Verizon operator. This is why it would be interesting to know that according to FCC Motorola Droid (Sholes) will appear  in the States supporting the nets provided by AT&T operator as well – (WCDMA 850/1900/2100MH). Besides it is supposed to support GSM nets (850/900/1800/1900 MH) meaning that Motorola Droid can also appear in the Canadian operator Rogers shops.

By the way, according to engadget.com source, Droid is not a name for a specific phone but the name of the brand invented by PR managers of the Verizon mobile operator for a series of smartphones on the basis of operational system Android. For example, smartphone HTC Desire in the Verizon shops will appear with the name Motorola Droid Eris.
