iPhone officially in South Korea

A month after appearance on the Chinese Market, smartphone iPhone appeared on sale in South Korea this weekend.

Continuing the American tradition, on the Olympic stadium in Seoul  lined up a whole queue of people wanting  to buy the Apple palm. South Korean mobile operator KT Corp., the second largest in the country after SK Telecom, which is the only iPhone distributor today, declared that the order was of 65 thousand smartphones.

Smartphone iPhone 3GS 32Gb price in the KT net is going to be about $338 with the monthly payment $38. With the monthly payment for KT services of about $55, the palm price is going to be $225. The premium packet owners with the monthly payment of $113, iPhone 3GS 32 GB price will get the smartphone for free.

Two local mobile phone South Korea producers – Samsung and LG Electronics- reacted to iPhone in Korea appearance immediately. Samsung Company lowered the flagman device Omnia 28 B price.

KT Corp. representative told about his hope that iPhone appearance in South Korea will become a start for smartphone market development . Now the smartphone per cent does not exceed 1% of the total number of sold mobile phones.
