Apple sues HTC

Recently was made public the information according to which Apple is suing its' direct concurrent- producer of HTC smart phones. Apple blames HTC for using 20 patents, linked with the iPhone interface, its structure and its' components.

The lawsuit was officially filled at the US  International Trade Commission and the Delaware state court. HTC was not announced because of which Apple patents they are sued.

"We may sit down and watch how concurrents are stealing our inventions. Or we may fight against this. We chose the 2'nd option", - Steve Jobs said. "We believe that competition generates a healthy market, but the competitors shall create their own technologies, and shall not still ours".

Apple prepared a record of about 700 pages with their claims, also it named the HTC models that are to be affected, among them Nexus One, Touch Pro, Touch Diamond, Touch Pro2, Tilt II, Pure, Imagio, Dream/G1, myTouch3G, Hero, HD2, Droid Eris.

This case became a continuation of the patent fight among giant gadget producers. The well known case of Apple and Nokia who sued each other claiming overwhelming amounts of money at the International Trade Commission.

HTC speaker stated that the company is working out on smart phones for 13 years, so  the company is going to defend its technology.

This story is more curious by the fact that Apple was the one who initiated the trial (in the case with Nokia, the Finn producer was punished for their unfriendly actions).

Moreover, it should be mentioned that HTC produces phones for Google. Is that  a new "fight" between Apple and Google?
