Samsung Omnia HD i8910 lost a part of its name.

The Samsung i8910 smartphone presented in February and known also as Samsung Omnia HD from now on will only have the index i8910.

This decision was taken because in the company products portfolio there already exists model i900 Omnia functioning on base of Windows Mobile. Of course, for the majority of users this change of name does not have a great significance, since in most countries i900 Omnia is known simply as WiTu but there are other regions where the Samsung Company wants to escape the confusion. We shall remind that index Samsung Omnia HD was chosen to emphasize the possibility of video recording in HD format what is especially notified by the company. In the rest it is a typical device for those who want to get the most of it, including a large screen, 8 mega pixel camera, 16 GB built in memory and so on. The smartphone Samsung Omnia will be released in May and an approximate price for the European countries will be about 650-700 euro at the beginning and later the price will become smaller.
