The Palm Company officially presented smartphone Palm Pixi which appeared in the Net in spring this year with the code name Eos

New smartphone differs from Pre having the form factor of a monoblock with smaller size. According to the company declaration with the exception of Wi-Fi nets support the new gadget is not worse than the larger Pre. But there are some doubts that this relates to processor and memory size. Also Palm Pixi camera of 2 mega pixels differs from Palm Pre 3 mega pixel camera.

It was announced that smartphone Palm Pixi operates under the operational system webOS and is equipped with 2,63 inches sensor display with resolution 320x400 pixels. As it was mentioned there is a two mega pixel camera with LED flash, Bleutooth 2.1 +EDR with A2DP, connector MicroUSB (USB 2.0), audio input of 3,5 mm.

The gadget supports GPS navigation, audio and video in MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV, MPEG4, H.263, H.264 formats and functions in EV-DO Rev.A nets. Regardless of the rumors about 4 GB memory, the size of built in Palm Pixi memory is 8GB. The smartphone dimensions are 55x11x10,85 mm, the weight is 99,5 grams.

Palm Pixi will soon appear on sale in the Sprint operator stores. It is supposed the price is going to be about $150.
