When taking the decision about Nokia N96 appearance, Nokia N81 was decided to be the most suitable alternative. But this does have a great meaning as the phones appeared with an interval of 1 year. So we have the same black plastic triumph with silver corners which can be good for some people and not so good for others.

All the novelty of the smarphone is defined by usage of a completely different apparatus platform that was not previously used in mobile phones and smartphones. We are talking about new calculating device from STMictroelectronics and namely Nomadic Stn8815P14.

Nokia N96 is equipped with Nokia proprietary component while STn8815 is only used for Symbian operational system.

Nokia does not have problems with connection quality mostly due to minimum elements on the back panel of the smartphone. The talking dynamic is not of a very good quality, but its speakers' voice transmission is acceptable and only in a very noisy atmosphere you would need to make the volume bigger.

The Vibro is good which is provided by massive plastic corpus.

Massive, functional and rather good looking Nokia N96 waited for its review publishing for some time already. But the conclusion is not very pleasing: as the solution All In One samrtphone Nokia N96 looks sad and sometimes worse than N95 8 GB and the phone construction is not very good.

This is one of the most effective variants of combination S60-smartphone and audio player.
