Nokia N96 review

When taking the decision about Nokia N96 appearance, Nokia N81 was decided to be the most suitable alternative. But this does have a great meaning as the phones appeared with an interval of 1 year. So we have the same black plastic triumph with silver corners which can be good for some people and not so good for others.

All the novelty of the smarphone is defined by usage of a completely different apparatus platform that was not previously used in mobile phones and smartphones. We are talking about new calculating device from STMictroelectronics and namely Nomadic Stn8815P14.

Nokia N96 is equipped with Nokia proprietary component while STn8815 is only used for Symbian operational system.

Nokia does not have problems with connection quality mostly due to minimum elements on the back panel of the smartphone. The talking dynamic is not of a very good quality, but its speakers' voice transmission is acceptable and only in a very noisy atmosphere you would need to make the volume bigger.

The Vibro is good which is provided by massive plastic corpus.

Massive, functional and rather good looking Nokia N96 waited for its review publishing for some time already. But the conclusion is not very pleasing: as the solution All In One samrtphone Nokia N96 looks sad and sometimes worse than N95 8 GB and the phone construction is not very good.

This is one of the most effective variants of combination S60-smartphone and audio player.

June 9th, 2010 10:31 nokia cell phones,: Ya it's true that Nokia N-96 is great mobile till now. I first used N73 and now i have the kick a** N96. It has 16 gb internal memory , no need to add external memory .The music key on it is gret eassy to shuffel music. This is more than enough.Thanx to nokia to make a great mobile.

It's freaking great but also a little too slow. I remember the first firmware 11. was a blow on the head men that sucked, freezing and unresponsive like a paper was unbelievable. Never the less i upgraded to 12.043 and everything seems to be fine for 11 months. The music is great although i'm not a fan of music edition, my fav is Xpress music but sorry to say there is no phone any better than the N97, N96, N900 in the main areas and can't replace a good phone with a low end phone system that has freakin good music. Lol me being a fan of N96, 5Mpx, 16Gb, Movie player and price... that's a huge difference from other music phones. My phone is locked to 3, hopefully i'm expecting the company to unlock it within a few more months. This phone is great, freaking great
