LG Optimus 3D will become the first smartphone supporting YouTube 3D

LG Electronics Company and YouTube made a partnership cooperation whose goal will be the enlargement of 3D functions of the mobile devices. The new lines of premium class LG smartphone based on Android will allow the users not only to capture and watch 3D video without glasses but to quickly download and exchange made video with other mobile users via YouTube.

The new project of LG and the world largest video community is a part of a campaign to promote 3D distractions among personal mobile devices users. YouTube and LG signed this contract to facilitate 3D transfer and exchange on mobile devices easier and more comfortable for the users.

"LG Optimus 3D is the newest flagman smartphone produced by LG. This is our answer to two main 3D segment problems - limited mobility and necessity to wear special glasses. Besides, our partnership with YouTube guarantees our clients simple and easy access to a large choice of 3D content", thinks Dr. jong-Seok Park, LG Electronics Mobile Communication Company president.

"3D technologies were traditionally considered the prerogative of Hollywood studios but with the new LG Optimus 3D each of us has the possibility to make 3D video, download it on YouTube and exchange it with friends" mentioned YouTube manager, Francisco Varela. Optimus 3D will appear on the European market at the beginning of the second quarter 2011 and then the device will be available in other countries in the world.
